SALIS Conference Call for Abstracts

The 2012 SALIS Conference will focus on substance abuse and information science issues that will enable stakeholders across the spectrum to learn the different languages and unique concerns of potential partners to reach out in a collaborative spirit to share resources and information; use technology to break out of closed information and organizational structures to bridge the gaps between fields and create more effective, sustainable systems; and build a knowledge and skills base that will help them to create new and different ways of presenting information.

Problem Gambling Treatment Programs

Up to $640,000 is available for programs that provide treatment for problem gambling over a 12 month period. Proposals are to be submitted to DHHS in accordance with the timeline and instructions in the RFA. http://dhhs.nv.gov/Grants/GrantsManagement.htm.

Mandatory orientation sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, and Friday, January 20, 2012. Times and locations are listed on Page 6 of the RFA. Potential applicants must attend one of the two sessions in order to apply for funds.
