August 6-8, 2010 - Camp Superkids
Camp SuperKids is a residential asthma camp the provides children ages 7-12 the opportunity to learn how to manage their asthma while having an unforgettable experience in a camp setting. Medical staff will be at camp working with the kids, along with trained volunteers. Campers will receive medications, other respiratory therapy treatments and special diets as needed. The children's Cabinet in Reno will be marking 25 years of keeping children safe and families together AND opening the doors of their new Wilbur D. May Youth Center at 777 Sinclair Street. The Foundation for Recovery will be hosting a Recovery Rally in honor of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. The event will be held at the FFR bookstore/The Rooms which is located at 4750 W. Sahara Avenue, Suite 10, Las Vegas, NV. Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Wolfson will make the opening remarks followed by vendors, music, guest speakers, with a special speaker meeting at 7pm, and our newly finished Recovery Bus, a touring archive of the history of addiction and recovery. Come out and support the recovery community!
